Plumbing dispatch software

When a customer has water on the floor, the question is who can get there first. MarsSuite answers it from one board.

The problem

Dispatching plumbers is triage

Half of a plumbing company's day is booked ahead and the other half arrives by phone. Every emergency call forces the same decision: who is closest to finishing, and which booked job can wait an hour.

Making that call from memory and text messages works with two plumbers. With five it means guessing, and the customer with the leak waits longer than they needed to.

How it works

From the phone call to the driveway

  1. Take the call

Log the address, the problem and how urgent it is. The job sits in the unassigned list where nobody can lose it.

  2. See who can go

The board shows each plumber's jobs and status, so you can tell who is about to finish.

  3. Assign and notify

Give the job to a plumber and it appears on their phone with the address and notes. The customer gets an on-the-way message.

  4. Rebook what moved

Drag the job that was bumped to a new time, so its customer still has a confirmed slot.

What you get

What it does not do. MarsSuite shows job status, not live truck location. It does not track vehicles by GPS.

  • Every plumber's day side by side
  • Statuses that show who is on the way, working or done
  • An unassigned list for calls that just came in
  • Job details and customer history on the plumber's phone
  • On-the-way messages to the customer
  • Same-day jobs added without rebuilding the schedule

Questions

Plumbing dispatch software: common questions

Can I tell which plumber is free next?

Yes. Each job shows its status, so the board tells you who is on the way, who is working and who has finished.

Does MarsSuite track trucks by GPS?

No. The board is driven by job status that plumbers update from their phones, not by vehicle location.

Will the customer know the plumber is coming?

Yes. An on-the-way message can be sent when the plumber heads to the job.
