Estimate and invoice software for electricians

Write the estimate once. It becomes the job, the deposit invoice and the final bill without being retyped.

The problem

The same numbers typed three times

An electrician prices a job in a notebook, types the estimate that evening, then types it again as an invoice weeks later, by which time nobody is sure what was agreed.

On larger installs the gap is worse: materials are bought up front, and without a deposit the shop is financing the customer's project.

How it works

One estimate, carried through to the final bill

  1. Estimate from saved items

Build the quote from your saved labor rates, materials and common installs, with options where the customer has a choice.

  2. Get it signed

The customer approves the estimate with a signature, so the scope is on record.

  3. Bill the deposit

For larger installs, send a deposit invoice when the estimate is approved.

  4. Send the final invoice

At sign-off, send the final invoice built from the job.

What you get

What it does not do. MarsSuite is not takeoff software. It does not count devices or measure wire runs from drawings; you enter the quantities and prices.

  • Line-item estimates from your saved prices
  • Options, such as a repair or a full upgrade, on one estimate
  • Customer signature on approval
  • Deposit and final invoices
  • Paid, unpaid and overdue invoices in one list
  • Reminders for invoices that are past due

Questions

Electrician invoicing software: common questions

Is this electrical takeoff software?

No. MarsSuite builds estimates from the line items and prices you enter. It does not do takeoffs from plans.

Can I bill a deposit before ordering materials?

Yes. Send a deposit invoice when the customer approves the estimate, and a final invoice when the work is signed off.

Can I see who has not paid?

Yes. Invoices are listed as paid, unpaid or overdue, and reminders can go out for the ones that are past due.
